Port Stephens Parasailing provides the most awe-inspiring view of the marine wonderland below, the parasailing trip can take high flyers either solo or tandem soaring up to 100m above the water.

The colourful ballooning parachute is winched into the air from a speed boat and enables parasailers to see Port Stephens from a rare and fascinating angle.  The sight from above of many of the bay's approximately 80 dolphins is an exhilarating visual treat.  You will be winched into the air guided by the boat below you.  You can drop gently in the water and be hiked back into the air.

The choice is yours to fly solo or tandem, stay dry or take a dip.  The new venture uses the latest hydraulic technology to release you on and off the vessel.

Catering for consumers from the timid to the adrenalin charged junkie.  No experience is necessary all that is required is to relax and enjoy the view.  Observe the marine life as Port Stephens is resident to approximately 80 dolphins so whether you are in the air or on enjoying the boat ride dolphins seem just out of reaching distance, enabling you to take pleasure in their playful displays.  Their grace and playfulness is stunning and the sounds are mesmerising.

Your flight will last for approximately 10 minutes.  At the conclusion of your flight you will be winched back onto the boat platform. "The safest way to parasail is by landing on the boat's platform" says Ian Cutbush, Managing Director, Port Stephens Parasailing. When not in flight, you will enjoy an exciting boat ride whilst others take their turn, the maximum time on the boat will be 1 hour.

Port Stephens commonly know as the 'Blue Water Paradise' and the 'Dolphin and Whale Watching Capital of Australia' is located on the NSW North Coast of Australia, 160km north of Sydney, a 2 1/2 hour drive along the F3 Freeway.  

Port Stephens is know as a popular holiday destination for its resident population of bottlenose dolphins and migrating humpback whales.  Port Stephens has pristine, unspoiled waterways, over 25 golden sandy beaches, eco-diverse Marine and untouched National Parks.

History

Owner/Managing Director Ian Cutbush, started the business in February 2006 due to high strong interest in boats and sailing with over 20 years experience on the water finally settling in Port Stephens in 1986.  Starting his boating business with various boats ranging up to 20m in length from fishing charters / dolphin watching and corporate charters.

With his desire for sailing and experience with boats Ian decided to start this owner/operator family business called Port Stephens Parasailing.  Ian and his sons Rhys and Rowan operate 7 days a week, conducting 6 - 7 flights a day. Port Stephens parasailing offer an adventure experience that would complement any tour itinerary, or holiday requirement.

It is a 'must see and do' activity for every visitor to Port Stephens, Plenty of fun for the whole family.
